What's covered
The ACT Reading section is the third part of the test, featuring 40 questions to be completed in 35 minutes. After a short break, you’ll encounter four passages, each followed by 10 questions. The passages cover a range of topics: natural sciences, social studies, prose fiction/literary narrative, and humanities. This section tests your reading comprehension skills, requiring you to understand and analyze the passages, but you don't need any background knowledge in these areas. The focus is on your ability to interpret, infer, and evaluate the information presented in the texts.
