Test day
You've worked hard, studied, and taken practice tests. Now it's time for the real thing.
Day before test
The day before the ACT test, focus on getting plenty of rest and sleep to ensure you're refreshed and alert for the exam. Avoid intensive studying and instead, do a broad review of what you've covered so far. This can include scanning through sample tests and reviewing key concepts, but don't overwhelm yourself with new material. Ensure you have all your test day essentials ready, such as your admission ticket, photo ID, approved calculator, and snacks. Relax, stay positive, and trust in the preparation you've done.
What to bring to test center
On test day, make sure to bring a few essential items to the testing center:
- You'll need your admission ticket and a valid photo ID to be allowed entry.
- Bring an approved calculator for the Math section, along with extra batteries just in case.
- Pack a few No. 2 pencils with good erasers. Even though the tests are digital, you'll need pencils for scratch work, especially during the Math section.
- To stay energized, bring water and some healthy snacks to consume during breaks.
Some items on this list may change, so check the email you receive after registering. It will include all the required and allowed materials.
